7 Reasons to Choose Jordan Sanderson Photography LLC as Your Wedding Photographer
Choosing your wedding photographer is a big decision. You are trusting someone to capture moments that cannot be recreated-from getting ready with the people closest to you, to walking down the aisle, your first kiss, and all the little moments happening in between.
When you begin wedding planning, you will make a lot of decisions about your venue, flowers, dress, decorations, food, and everything else that goes into creating your day. Choosing your wedding photography is a little different because your photographs are what will allow you to look back on all those decisions and memories long after the wedding is over.
As a Missouri wedding photographer, I want my couples to receive beautiful wedding photos, but I also want them to have a great experience while creating them. Your photographer will be with you during some of the most exciting, emotional, and sometimes stressful parts of your wedding day; so, finding someone you feel comfortable around matters.
Here are seven reasons I would love to be the photographer you trust with your wedding day.
1. I Want You to Feel Comfortable in Front of My Camera
Not everyone is naturally comfortable having their picture taken, and that is completely okay. You do not need to know how to pose or spend hours practicing what to do in front of the camera before your wedding.
One of my biggest wedding photographer tips is to choose someone you feel like you can be yourself around. You will spend a lot of your wedding day with your photographer, and being comfortable can make a huge difference in how your photographs look and how you remember the experience.
I want my couples to relax, have fun, and enjoy their wedding, instead of worrying about posing perfectly for every photograph. I will guide you through poses and prompts when you need direction, help you know what to do with your hands, and probably make you laugh along the way.
Some of my favorite wedding photos happen when couples stop thinking about the camera and start focusing on each other.
2. I Capture the Big Moments and the Little Ones
Of course, your wedding gallery should include the moments you expect to see; walking down the aisle, exchanging rings, your first kiss, family portraits, your first dance, and cutting the cake.
But wedding photography is also about documenting the moments you may not even realize are happening.
It might be the expression on your partner's face when they see you for the first time, your mom tearing up while helping you get ready, your grandparents dancing together, your best friend laughing during a speech, or your friends having the time of their lives at the reception.
These little moments can become some of the most meaningful wedding memories because they show what your day felt like.
I want your final wedding gallery to tell the entire story—not just show the major events.
3. Your Wedding Should Look and Feel Like You
Every wedding is different because every couple is different. I do not want every wedding gallery I deliver to look or feel the same.
Your wedding might be elegant and traditional, small and intimate, colorful and full of personality, or somewhere completely in between. Whatever you choose, I want your photographs to represent your relationship and your wedding day.
Before your wedding, I want to learn about you, your spouse, and what matters most to both of you. We can talk about the photographs you want, the people who are important to you, and anything about being photographed that makes you nervous.
When you are comparing photographers during the wedding planning process, one of the most important wedding photographer questions you can ask is how they approach each couple differently. Your wedding is not someone else's wedding, and your photographs should not feel like they are either.
4. I Want Photography to Be a Fun Part of Your Wedding
Your wedding day should not feel like one long photo shoot.
You spent months planning this day, and I want you to experience it. You should have time to hug your family, laugh with your wedding party, dance with your friends, eat your wedding cake, and enjoy being newly married.
Part of my approach to wedding photography is finding the balance between creating beautiful portraits and documenting your day as it naturally happens.
During portraits, I will give you direction, so you are not standing there wondering what you are supposed to do. During the rest of your wedding, I can step back and capture genuine interactions and emotions as they happen.
The goal is for your wedding photos to be important without photography taking over your entire wedding.
5. I Care About the Details
Couples put so much time into choosing the little details of their wedding. Your dress, suit, rings, flowers, invitations, shoes, jewelry, decorations, table settings, cake, and even handwritten notes all help tell the story of your day.
You may spend months making those decisions during wedding planning, and then the actual wedding goes by incredibly fast.
That is why detail photographs are an important part of your wedding gallery.
Years later, you might not remember exactly what your bouquet looked like or every detail of your reception tables, but your photographs can bring those memories back.
I want your gallery to include the people you love and the moments you experienced while also preserving the smaller details that made the wedding uniquely yours.
6. I Am There to Help Throughout the Process
My job as your wedding photographer does not begin when I arrive at your wedding.
I want to help you prepare ahead of time, so photography is one less thing you must worry about when the day finally arrives.
We can discuss your wedding timeline, important photographs you want, family photo combinations, locations, lighting, and the moments that matter most to you. Planning ahead also helps us make sure there is enough time for the photographs you want without making the day feel rushed.
If you are wondering what you should ask before booking a photographer, some helpful wedding photographer questions include:
• How much photography coverage will I need?
• When should photography begin on the wedding day?
• How much time should we plan for family and wedding party photographs?
• Should we do a first look?
• When is the best time for couple portraits?
• What happens if the wedding timeline changes?
• Are there any photographs or details we should prepare ahead of time?
You do not have to figure everything out by yourself. Part of choosing the right photographer is choosing someone who can help you prepare.
One of my biggest wedding photographer tips is to communicate what matters to you before the wedding. The more I understand your priorities, the better I can document your day in a way that feels meaningful to you.
7. I Want to Give You Memories You Can Keep Forever
The flowers will eventually fade. The food will be eaten. The decorations will come down. Your dress will be put away. And somehow, after months of wedding planning, the actual wedding day will go by incredibly fast.
Your photographs are one of the things you will still have years later.
Your wedding photos can become the photographs hanging on the walls of your home, sitting in albums on your coffee table, shared with family members, and eventually shown to your children and grandchildren.
That is why I think about wedding photography as more than simply creating beautiful images.
I am documenting wedding memories.
I want you to be able to look at a photograph years from now and remember how nervous you felt before walking down the aisle, how your partner looked at you during the ceremony, how hard everyone laughed during the reception, and what it felt like to have the people you love together in one place.
Choosing the Right Missouri Wedding Photographer
There are a lot of decisions to make when planning a wedding and finding the right Missouri wedding photographer is about more than comparing prices or looking at a few pretty photographs.
Look through complete wedding galleries when possible. Pay attention to how a photographer captures both posed portraits and candid moments. Ask questions about their process, communication, timeline planning, and what you can expect before, during, and after your wedding.
Most importantly, choose someone whose photography you love and whose personality makes you feel comfortable.
At Jordan Sanderson Photography LLC, I want my couples to feel like they can be themselves in front of my camera. I want you to have fun, enjoy your wedding, and trust that the important moments are being documented while you experience them.
My goal with wedding photography is not just to deliver a gallery of beautiful images. I want to give you photographs that tell the story of your day and preserve the people, details, emotions, and wedding memories that made it yours.
If you are currently wedding planning and searching for a Missouri wedding photographer, I would love to hear about your wedding, what you are planning, and what matters most to you.
